Description

Make Me a Tree is a wearable small mobile territory, created from a reclaimed piece of a cotton sweatshirt and transformed into a textile talisman dedicated to the deep connection between human beings and trees.

On the front of the medallion, a tree-shaped root is stitched onto a field of hand-embroidered green threads that evoke moss, canopies, forest floors, and the invisible networks that run beneath the earth. Four green and red glass beads sewn onto the corners recall small fruits, seeds, or childhood games.

On the reverse, the case of an old compact mirror has been transformed into a window. Where a reflection once appeared, there is now a hand-embroidered photograph of an oak tree. The gesture invites the wearer to recognize themselves within the vegetal world, to seek in trees a part of their own origin and nature. The oak becomes a quiet presence to carry close. A symbol of rootedness, resilience, and continuity.

The cord, made from the edging of a reclaimed bedsheet, is itself embroidered in two shades of green. It allows the talisman to be worn around the neck or tied at the waist. Like all Small Mobile Territories, Make Me a Tree was created to accompany its wearer through everyday life.

Each object carries traces of previous lives and is assembled slowly by hand, without industrial processes. Presented in custom-made plastic-free packaging and protected with natural materials, this talisman is an invitation to slow down, observe, and remember that every breath tells the story of an ancient relationship with the trees that share this planet with us.
